Primary Purpose

Oversees the Sunnybrook building's operation, safety, security, maintenance. Provides coverage at the Sunnybrook Information Desk as needed. Ensures that the building located at 10 Sunnybrook complies with all applicable regulations. Recommends and coordinates improvements to the property as needed to ensure a safe, functional, and appealing space. Designs with General Services and Wake County Health and Human Services Programs and Directors the strategies and steps to take in projects and renovations.

 

Essential Functions

•

Oversees the Sunnybrook building's operation, safety, security and maintenance. Ensures property complies with all applicable regulations.

Compiles records on building safety and security incidents and work orders. Inspects the building frequently to identify building concerns and potential hazards.

Serves as Chair of the Quarterly Sunnybrook Safety and Security team while maintains and updates emergency plans and evacuation procedures for the assigned building and assists with emergency response and evacuations.

•

Trainer for the Welcome to Sunnybrook monthly training eWake talent.

•

Oversees security, fire prevention and other safety systems and conducts annual fire drills.

•

Schedules and oversees professionals/companies as needed to maintain, repair or improve the property inspecting completing jobs.

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Intermediate Skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and intranet/internet.  Ability to use work order system.
